Аnnotation: The results of analysis of synchronous instrumental observations of the variations in the geomagnetic field on the Earth's surface and the seismic background, carried out at the Geophysical Observatory “Mikhnevo” of the Institute of Geosphere Dynamics, Russian Academy of Science, in 2008-2015 are presented. It is shown that the geomagnetic impulses (SI-signals) and sudden commencement of magnetic storms (SSC-signals) can cause increased background seismic oscillations in the frequency range of 0.01-0.1 Hz. The relationship between the amplitude of the impulse-type geomagnetic variations and amplitude of the caused variations of background seismic oscillations has established.
